
If you help to look after a parent, brother or sister, or any family member who is disabled or has a long-term physical or mental illness, you may find it hard to cope alone.
- You may lose contact with your friends
- You may find it hard to make new friends
- You may miss out on after-school activities
- You might not get any free time for yourself
- You may think that no-one is listening to you
The Young Carers Service at the Red Cross can put you in touch with other people who can help you. They will listen to what you have to say and may be able to help you take a break from caring occasionally.
